Welcome

Jenenne Coulon

Greetings! My name is Jenenne Coulon -, M. ED., plus 30- and I have served as Principal for 9 years!  Judge Lionel R. Collins, (respectfully re-named after the first African American Judge Lionel R. Collins who resided in the Marrero neighborhood) is a small, quaint school nestled in the heart of Marrero and loved by its former and existing school family community.  I am proud to say that this school serves 370 plus students from Prek- 5 th grade and often educates generational family units from this area.  The school’s family has expanded over the last 7 years with additional ethnic groups of Hispanic, Vietnamese, and Middle Eastern families.  We are a proud Jefferson Parish STEM Magnet school.

I believe in establishing systems that offer support, dedication and perseverance to ensure that each child reaches beyond their educational potential.  I have and will work daily to provide for each child that enters the school.  I believe in the premise that every child has the ability to learn.
I strongly believe relationship building is a key factor in promoting and ensuring student success.  Forming positive and productive work relationships, building a strong effective instructional team, while constantly reflecting on the real, good work that can be done with the students and families within Jefferson Parish are the cornerstones of my vision.

Jenenne Coulon,
Principal
